(HARRIMAN, TENN.) - Three Rivers Theatre Company expanded its Board of Directors from three to seven members today and reappointed company officers for 2020.

Martha Wilkinson, founder and president of the East Tennessee community theatre company noted, "We are proud to have such a diverse and talented group of people to help lead us in the coming months and years."

The company, which was founded in 2019, originally consisted of three Board members: Ms. Maggie Ballard, Ms. Chelsey Hall and Mrs. Sarah Thacker. Today's actions added four more members to the body, including Mr. David A. Flotte, Mrs. Sandy Morgan, Mr. William T. Scandlyn, and Mr. Vance Winstead.

Ms. Ballard (Birmingham, Ala.) has worked in the film industry for many, including such films as the award-winning "Get Out" (2017), "Gerald's Game" (2017), "Hush" (2016) and "Heist" (2015). She provides the board with an understanding of performance and strong organizational skills.

Mr. Scandlyn, a pharmacist, is a life-long resident of Harriman who has been greatly supportive of the theatre company from its inception.

Ms. Ballard and Mr. Scandlyn are filling terms that will expire in February 2021.

Mr. Flotte is a New Orleans-based maritime attorney who brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Board, along with a strong appreciation of the arts.

Mr. Winstead (Rockwood, Tenn.) is a successful businessman and life-long musician and entertainer. He is another person with a heart for performing arts.

Ms. Hall (Lebanon, Tenn.) is a former collegiate basketball player and coach. She currently works in the travel industry and brings an educational background and events management experience to the team.

Mr. Flotte, Mr. Winstead, and Ms. Hall are filling terms until February 2022.

Mrs. Morgan (Clinton, Tenn.) is a retired pharmacist who has many close connections to the area. In addition to acting in Three Rivers productions and participating in acting classes, she is also a fund-raising champion for the non-profit organization.

Mrs. Thacker is an veteran elementary school educator who provides much-needed insight into the organization's educational endeavors.

Mrs. Morgan, who was elected Interim Chairperson of the Board of Directors, and Mrs. Thacker are serving terms until February 2023.

Other Board action from the meeting included reinstatement of the company's officers. Filling those roles are founders Mrs. Martha Wilkinson and Mr. Donnie Hall (Harriman, Tenn.). Mrs. Wilkinson will continue to serve as the company's President and Managing Artistic Director, while Mr. Hall will serve in the capacities of Vice President/Treasurer and Managing Producer. Ms. Beth Ladd (Kingston, Tenn.) remains the Secretary of the 501(c)(3) non-profit company.

Three Rivers Theatre Company has been dormant since mid-March of this year due to the pandemic. They will be presenting a series of virtual readings over the next six weeks. It is the company's hope to return to live theatre by late July of this year.
